The M division has revealed the other day on Facebook a prototype of a Z3 powered by a V12 engine.

Yesterday in a post on Facebook, BMW's M division shared some juicy photos of a one-off BMW Z3 prototype fitted with a massive V12 engine under the hood. This is just one of the many special cars that the M division has made in the past, such as the M8, E34 M5 Convertible, V16 7-Series Goldfish or the M3 Pickup.

Semi-auto manufacturer, Alpina, is readying their B3 BiTurbo for debut early next year, but impatient digital artists have quite predictably rendered what the model will most likely look like.
Perhaps no stretch of the imagination, the B3 BiTurbo will feature the usual Alpina characteristics such as: 20 spoke silver alloy wheels, "Alpina Blue" exterior paint, white leather interior and Alpina side body pinstripes.

BMW and Toyota recently announced plans to jointly-develop a sports car and new details are starting to emerge about the mysterious model.
According to a BMW spokesperson, the car won't be based on the Toyota 86, Subaru BRZ or Scion FR-S. She added, it "will be a sustainable sports car with environmentally friendly technology" and "we are developing the architecture and components for this future car."

The recent unveiling the Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake has revived rumors that BMW is considering a 6-Series Gran Touring / Gran Turismo.
The rumors first surfaced in 2010, when BMW's head of development, Dr. Klaus Draeger, revealed the company had created a 6-Series Shooting Brake concept. The model has never been unveiled, but we've seen a stream of 6-Series variants - including the coupe, convertible and Gran Coupe - since then.

BMW and Toyota have confirmed they expand their existing collaboration to jointly develop a new sports car.
The announcement was made today at a joint press conference that was staged at BMW's Munich headquarters and saw Toyota boss Akio Toyoda and BMW chief Norbert Reithofer sign a memorandum of understanding.
