BMW flashes a carbon-fiber wheel of its near future
A few days ago, BMW held a press introduction of various carbon-fiber accessories, designed to eventually filter their way into several BMW, Rolls-Royce, and maybe even Mini models. The best of the bunch was this handsome full carbon-fiber wheel, shown here in 20-inch size, set to join the options list for BMW's "i" series electric vehicles by the end of 2014.

A new report indicates BMW is still considering an X2 model which is now slated for a 2017 market launch.
The second generation of the BMW X1 is programmed to come out towards the end of the year or in 2015 and will be a tad smaller than the current model in order to widen the gap until the X3. This newly created empty space will be filled in by the rumored X2which will essentially be a sportier-looking derivative of the X1, following the same philosophy used by the Bavarian marque on the X6 and the upcoming X4.

It was less than a week ago when BMW revealed plans to expand its carbon fiber factory in Moses Lake, Washington and now British media is reporting the Bavarian marque is getting ready to launch a full carbon fiber wheel expected to come within the next two years. Recent BMW carbon fiber developments include a steering wheel, one-piece propeller shaft and a carbon-plastic compound.

Alpina has released the first teaser image of the B4 Bi-Turbo Cabrio ahead of its debut at the Geneva Motor Show.
