2012 BMW 335i Review

The 328i is better than the 335i.
We are not the only ones claiming that the entry-level BMW 3 Series, fitted with a clamorous lightweight turbocharged four-cylinder engine, is more agile and tossable than its turbocharged six-cylinder sibling – it appears to many that the segment leader has been displaced by its weaker brother.

Well, maybe.

The news comes somewhat as a surprise as BMW has never produced a V6 powered model in their long and illustrious history. The switch to a V-configuration will also represent the M3's first foray away from the high-revving naturally-aspirated units to the turbocharged arena - another major change in BMW's engineering principle over the past few years.

BMW and Toyota will co-develop lithium-ion batteries

BMW and Toyota have announced plans to co-develop lithium-ion batteries.
Details are limited, but the companies will collaborate on "next-generation environment-friendly vehicles and technologies." The latest announcement follows a recent agreement which stipulates that BMW will supply Toyota with 1.6- and 2.0-liter diesel engines.
