BMW i3 Concept Coupe promises a short-range future

BMW stands months away from selling its first electric cars, and after several space-age concepts it's clear the German automaker intends to yank the future into the present. Here's its latest salvo, the BMW i3 Concept Coupe for this week's Los Angeles Auto Show, an all-electric hatchback that never unplugs from the Internet. Whether it's a tease or a warning depends on how you feel about the limitations of electric cars.

BMW X4 concept heading to Detroit Motor Show in January

Production version out in 2014.

A recent report indicates that BMW will introduce the X4 in January at Detroit Motor Show.

It will be presented in concept form that will be followed in 2014 by the production version. Known internally as F26, the new X4 will use the same platform as the X3 and will cost less than the X5.AutoWeek is reporting that it will be 4.65 meters (183 inches) long, the same length as the X3 (F25).
