2014 BMW i3
The Apple car rumor mill is back in action as a new report is indicating that the highly-anticipated model could be based on the BMW i3.According to Germany's Manager Magazin, Apple CEO Tim Cook is interested in basing their oft-rumored car on i3 and the companies held discussions about the idea in the fall of 2014. These were apparently broken off but companies reportedly agreed to keep talking "from time to time."
Any Apple rumor should be taken with a grain of salt but the publication says Cook was interested enough that he and other "senior managers" visited BMW's Leipzig plant to see where the i3 was produced.
