BMW M6 F12 renderings based on 6 Series Coupe Concept surface

Here are some rendered images of the upcoming 2012 BMW M6 Coupe (F12) compliments of Bimmerboost.com.
The artist's renderings take their cues from the BMW Concept 6 Series Coupé which BMW will be premiering at the Paris Motor Show in one week. Given that, these images likely come quite close to what the F12 M6 will ultimately look like.

Mansory BMW X5

This is the first time that MANSORY has tuned a BMW model. But the Swiss tuner promises it won't be the last.
On the outside, MANSORY adds a little bulk to the X5 by way of widened fenders and side skirts which stretch the width of the X5 by 70 mm at the front and 80 mm at the rear. A front spoiler with cooling inlets and a new carbon-fiber bonnet with additional air inlets are also part of the package. At the rear is a quad stainless-steel sport exhaust system with integrated carbon fiber diffuser and a roof spoiler for extra downforce.

BMW Concept 6 Series Coupé revealed

Ahead of the Paris Motor Show, BMW has released the first pictures of the Concept 6-Series Coupe.
Designed to be a "stylish and authentic expression of superior sports performance," the car is effectively a two-door version of the Concept Gran Coupe. As such, it features LED headlights, a massive twin-kidney grille, a four-tailpipe exhaust system, and 20-inch aluminum wheels.
Inside, the cabin boasts two-tone leather upholstery, wood trim, and gloss black accents. Other goodies include a 10.2-inch iDrive display, a digital instrument cluster, and a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system.
While the company declined to talk engine specifics, it's safe to assume power is provided by a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 with 395 hp (294 kW / 400 PS) and 450 lb-ft (609 Nm) of torque.
More information will be released later this month, so stay tuned to WCF for continuing coverage.

2012 BMW 1er less disguised with M-Sport package

Spies in Germany have captured images of the next BMW 1-Series five-door wearing the upcoming M-Sport package.  The car was spotted motoring around the Nürburgring, possibly using an inline-six engine.

Previous reports suggest the top-shelf car's engine will be a twin-turbo 3.0-liter model that generates 322 horsepower (240 kW, 326 PS) and up to 450 Nm (332 ft-lb) of torque.  The engine could be mated to either a six-speed manual, or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.

Most of the M-Sport features are covered up, but the car is displaying larger air intakes.  It also appears to be lower to the ground, though that could be an illusion due to the new side sills and larger wheels.  The car seems to now have tailpipes on either side of the license plate, instead of grouped together on the left.

Other M-Sport features, like sport seating, aluminum trim, anthracite headliner, and a choice betweeen alloy rims and extra paint options should be seen on the car.  The next BMW 1-Series should hit the market next year as a 2012 model year car.

2012 BMW M5 F10 rendered

After completing renderings of the 1-Series M Coupe, Gerald Alvarez decided to focus his talents on the 2012 BMW M5 (F10).
Seen here, in stunning detail, the rendered M5 doesn't look all that different from lesser models. There's the usual M styling tweaks (revised bumpers, new side vents, aggressive side sills and lightweight wheels) but that's about it.

“Dan Creed is clearly the right person to step into the role because he has serious marketing, sales and aftersales experience and has worked closely with our retail network in developing effective relationships,” Jim O'Donnell, president of BMW of North America, said in a statement.

Lexus IS-F, Meet The BMW M3

lexus is-f meet the bmw m3

From the hood to the wheels, and all the way back to the exhaust pipes, this car puts a little fear into your blood. The blue metallic paint, carbon fiber roof, and the chrome exhaust pipes aren’t flashy, but they do give off the perfect performance look. In the attempt to match the competition - most notably the Lexus IS-F - we had nearly every option put onto this car, bringing the price to right where we wanted it; $66,000. Sometimes we amaze even ourselves.
One interesting note with the M3 is driving it in cold weather. Not that it was cold out though, just in the mornings before the sun had risen. Most of time we wouldn’t be awake at that time for any reason, but the temptation of an early morning drive was just too much. The BMW’s motor is limited while it’s cold, but once it warms up, all hell can then break lose. Other publications have reported that first and second gear can be stiff when cold, but we never had that issue. LINK

2011 BMW 1-Series M Coupe rendered

While BMW is slowing teasing the 1-Series M Coupe1addicts user Alpine325ci decided he couldn't wait any longer.
The "resident photoshopper extraordinaire" has created these beautiful renderings of the newest M car with painstaking attention to detail. Based on the aforementioned teaser images, the renderings are a fairly accurate representation of what to expect when BMW unveils the model in December.
As we have previously reported, the 1-Series M Coupe will likely be powered by a twin-turbo N54 inline-six with at least 350 PS (257 kW / 345 bhp).  It will be connected exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission which should allow the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in approximately 4.5 seconds.

BMW X1 by Hartge gets a power boost

Hartge has unveiled their new tuning program for the BMW X1.
The entry-level 18d receives an upgrade which enables the engine to produce 169 hp (126 kW / 171 PS) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque. This allows a manually-equipped sDrive18d to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds (an improvement of 1.5 seconds) and hit a top speed of 217 km/h (135 mph).
If you happen to own a 20d, you order a kit which allows the engine to produce an extra 32 hp (24 kW / 32 PS) and 65 Nm (48 lb-ft) of torque. The added power results in a 0 to 100 km/h time of 6.9 seconds (an improvement of 1.2 seconds) and a top speed of 229 km/h (142 mph).
Besides the performance packages, Hartage offers a stainless-steel sport exhaust system, lowering springs (which reduce ride height 30mm), and 20-inch 'Classic 2' wheels. Inside, customers can order a sport steering wheel, aluminum pedals, and velour floor mats.

G-POWER X5 M TYPHOON revised upwards to 725 hp

G-Power first introduced us to their 600 hp BMW X5 M with "small" Typhoon body kit at the end of last year. Little did we know that the extreme BMW tuner was already working on "bigger" wide body kit.
The result, thanks to optimised air flow providing up to 15 percent more cooling, is an increase in power output by 170 PS (125 kW) over the standard X5 M with 555 PS (408 kW) to a total of 725 PS (533 kW). Furthermore, torque is increased up to 890 Nm (series: 680 Nm / 500 lb·ft) at 1,500 rpm and top speed is more than 300 km/h (186 mph). 0-100 km/h - 4.2 seconds. LINK

AC Schnitzer 5-Series F10 initial styling kit revealed

BMW tuning specialist AC Schnitzer has applied their hallmark styling once again to Bavaria's latest model, the 2011 BMW 5-Series F10.  While vehicles have only just arrived at German dealerships in May, AC Schnitzer's tuning package represents only the initial products for the F10 5-Series.  We can certainly expect more dramatic performance upgrades and additional styling kits in the future.

Already off-the-shelf, AC Schnitzer plugs in their performance upgrade for the 530d giving 286 PS instead of the standard 245 PS.  But have no fear if you're the owner of a BMW 520d, 525d and 535d.  AC Schnitzer is currently developing power upgrades for these engines as well.  However, it's at the top of the range where AC Schnitzer gives most of its attention.  For the BMW 550i, 535i, 535d and 530d, AC Schnitzer has twin sports rear mufflers with chrome tips. BMW X3 M rendered

So BMW did an about-face, and produced a M version of the X5/X6 while neglecting the possibility of a vibrant M7.  Adding insult to injury, the latest rumor emerging from M GmbH suggests their newest project is, not the magnificent M7, but the... wait for it... wait for it... X3 soft roader SAV!  Yay...

Despite our lack of excitement, the newest SUV M variants are in fact a success, and BMW is keen to ride the wave as far as it will go. Previous reports put the twin-turbo straight six powerplant from the yet to be revealed 1-Series M Coupe into the X3 M.  It is speculated to produce 350 PS (257 kW / 345 bhp).

In the meantime, the devotees at Bimmerboost have created some visuals.  Check out the source link below for more colors. (Thanks J. for the tip!)

Onyx Concept BMW M3 E92

Onyx Concept made a name for themselves as a Range Rover tuner but have since expanded to include Porsche, Bentley.  Now Onyx has expanded once again with the presentation of a new styling and performance package for the BMW M3 (E92/E93).
On the styling front, the tuner installs modified bumpers, revised side skirts, and several carbon fiber components (front spoiler, rear diffuser, ventilated hood, and trunk lid). Inside, customers can order "buffalo hide" leather upholstery and carbon fiber trim which has a range of colored weaves.
Under the hood, Onyx offers a package that enables the 4.0-liter V8 to produce 630 PS (463 kW / 621 hp) instead of the standard 420 PS (309 kW / 414 hp). No word on how this is accomplished, but we're assuming it involves the usual base modifications such as a revised ECU, a high-flow air filter, and a sport exhaust plus some form of forced induction.
Pricing information wasn't released, but the packages will be launched on October 31st.

BMW X6 widebody by Enco Exclusive

German tuning firm Enco Exclusive has put together a new widebody package for the BMW X6.  The €15,000 (tax included) package comes with new body parts, lighting elements, and a set of 23-inch wheels.
Appearance changes come by way of a new front end, with a bumper that has LED daytime lights and three oversized air intakes to allow the brakes and the engine to cool down.  The huge wheel arches give credit to the "widebody" moniker, requiring a different set of side sills and modified rear doors to give the car a more uniform design.  This was also done to fit in with the oversized, robust bumper with quad tailpipes mounted closer to the middle.
The vehicle itself sits on huge 23x11-inch Jura wheels, making the vehicle look like it genuinely needs the new arches.  The wheels are wrapped in 315/25 R3 tires.  A new paint job is also included, but it is hopefully not limited to the contrasted design of the demo car.
Enco Exclusive says that no other "BMW has had such a polarising effect as the gigantic X6."  We're not sure that this package solves the problem, but several tuner enthusiasts will surely like the kit.

BMW 1-Series M Coupe new teaser video released

It's 10pm on a Friday night and just as we're ready to call it a day/week, BMW sends us this glorious strip tease video for the hotly anticipated 1-Series M Coupe.  As the first "unveiling" video in a series, the 1er M lifts it's black puritan covering to reveal a little leg.

Earlier this month BMW released a video of the 1-Series M Coupe driving around the Ascari race track in Spain, and a few weeks before that released this video.

It was previously reported that the 1er M would be unveiled in December prior to its unveiling at the Detroit Auto Show in January.  Considering the pace of these teaser videos, it seems Paris in late September might be a more realistic unveiling point.

As previously reported, motivation will likely be provided by a twin-turbo N54 inline-six with at least 350 PS (257 kW / 345 bhp). It will be mated exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission, which should allow the 1-Series M to accelerate from 0-60 mph in approximately 4.5 seconds.

Superchips upgrades BMW’s 3.0D engine for various models

superchips upgrades bmw 8217 s 3.0d engine for various models
British tuner, Superchips, has decided that diesel engines can be just as much fun as their petrol counterparts, so they decided to do a little reconfiguring for BMW’s 3.0-liter, six-cylinder engine that powers models like the BMW 3-Series, 5-Series, 7-Series, X5, and X6.
Superchips was able to increase the power of the diesel engine by 44hp at 4183 rpm and 90 Nm of torque at just 2222 rpm. This brings the total output to 313hp and 627Nm of torque. In order to accomplish this task, Superchips had to perform a remap of the engine while taking into consideration the "careful optimization of fueling and turbo boost settings". According to Superchips, this reconfiguration allows for a sharper throttle response, a keener, more urgent engine, a harder pull throughout the rev range.
The BMW 3.0 D ECU remap is priced at £445.00 and comes with a 12 month/30,000 mile supplementary vehicle warranty . LINK
