BMW has announced the 2012 3-Series will be priced from $35,795 in the United States.
Set to arrive in February, the 328i will come nicely equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission, iPod/USB/Bluetooth connectivity and a 6.5-inch iDrive display. Power is provided by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 240 hp (180 kW / 245 PS) and 260 lb-ft (352 Nm) of torque. It enables the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds, before hitting a limited top speed of 130 mph (155 mph with Sport Line package).
The 335i, on the other hand, is priced from $43,295 and features a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six cylinder engine with 300 hp (225 kW / 306 PS) and 300 lb-ft (406 Nm) of torque. This allows the sedan to sprint from 0-60 mph in 5.4 seconds and hit a limited top speed of 130 mph (155 mph with Sport Line package).
