The 2014 BMW M4 has been spied stretching its legs on the Nürburgring.
Caught wearing heavy camouflage, the high-performance coupe has an aggressive front fascia with a prominent grille that is flanked by angel-eye headlights. We can also see a bludging hood, a tailgate-mounted spoiler and a four-tailpipe exhaust system.
Power will reportedly be provided by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that develops up to 450 bhp (335 kW) and 405 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque. For comparison, the M3 Coupe had a 4.0-liter V8 engine with 414 bhp (309 kW) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque.
The car is also expected to have a hydraulic steering system, an M-tuned suspension and high-performance tires. Other highlights will likely include adaptive dampers and a limited-slip differential.
The BMW M4 is expected to go on sale next summer, so look for a debut sometime early next year.
