2014 BMW X4 spied testing in Munich

Could be revealed in January 2014

A prototype of the 2014 BMW X4 has been spied undergoing testing in Munich, Germany, ahead of an expected January 2014 reveal at NAIAS.
BMW introduced the X4 nameplate in April with an appealing concept at the Shanghai Motor Show and now they are getting ready to launch the production model. As you would imagine, the car you'll find in showrooms will be more conservative in terms of design but nevertheless it should still be a desirable crossover.

It will ride on the X3 platform so it should carry its engine lineup, including a 4-cylinder 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo developing 240 bhp (179 kW). There will also be a beefier inline-six 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo generating 300 bhp (224 kW), along with a 4-cylinder 2.0-liter diesel rated at 184 bhp (135 kW).
The mini X6 will be manufactured in Spartanburg, South Carolina and will go on sale next year.
