BMW M3 E92 pitted against Nissan GT-R at Nurburgring

M3 keeps up GT-R's pace

A BMW M3 confronted a Nissan GT-R on a crowded Nürburgring bridge to gantry lap.
The race took place earlier this month and involved a BMW M3 (E92) which managed to keep up the pace with a Nissan GT-R (R35). The M3 had several modifications installed as it featured an Akrapovic titanium exhaust, Schirmer three-way suspension, AP Racing brakes, Recaro sport seats and roll cage.

According to the person who uploaded the clip, the GT-R packed 620+ bhp (462+ kW) which is a lot more than the M3's 420 bhp (313 kW) output. Despite the significant differences between the two, the rear-wheel drive M3 proved to be a worthy adversary as the all-wheel drive GT-R didn't manage to escape during the bridge to gantry lap (approximately 19 km long) which was completed in 7 minutes and 57.18 seconds.

A Nissan GT-R R35 and a BMW M3 E92 by Schirmer performance, two very powerfull cars on the most famous circuit in the world. The Nürburgring. This video shows you a friendly 'race' on a Touristenfahrten day somewhere in October this year. The time is counting from Bride to Gantry (approximately 19 kilometers) The Nissan GT-R R35 has a little over 620hp, against the (I think) 420hp Schrimer Race Engineering E92 M3.

Because of the traffic and one 'crash' the laptime isn't the fastest ever for both drivers. But it's still an epic lap, as always.

Further specs of the Nissan GT-R and specs as hp and top speed from the Schirmer are unknown to me. Maybe I'll get the information as well. When I do, I'll update this description.

Make sure you watch the whole video for the insane backfires from the GT-R, and stay tuned on my channel. There's a lot more to come from cars in this video. The Mansory Aston you see in the video for instance. Also the GT-R 'batman' will be featured in a new video.
The Schirmer Race Engineering Me E92 will be featured in some videos in 2014. When the Touristenfahrten season starts all over again!
