The BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe has been digitally envisioned by RM Design as a fully-fledged M model.
With BMW's recent habit of creating niches which we never knew were necessary, the Bavarian marque could be very well plotting an M4 Gran Coupe for those who aren't satisfied with the almost identical M3 Sedan. As you would imagine, the differences between the two would be minimal as the only major changes will be the more sloped roofline at the back and a hatch configuration.
It would borrow the same high-revving six-cylinder 3.0-liter turbocharged engine from the M3 Sedan & M4 Coupe where it delivers 431 HP (317 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft). This engine is offered in tandem with a standard six-speed manual gearbox or a quicker seven-speed optional M DCT.
Since there’s an M6 Gran Coupe, BMW is probably planning a similar version for its smaller sibling.
