2015 BMW X6 prototypes spied in southern Germany
Our spies have caught a couple of 2015 BMW X6 prototypes undergoing testing in Germany.
Based on the redesigned X5, the X6 has a familiar design which closely echoes its predecessor. While the prototypes still have a decent amount of camouflage on them, the model will likely feature "Aero Blades" and "Air Curtains" that promise to reduce drag by routing air around the wheel arches.

Engine options will likely be shared with the X5, so expect choices to include:
  • A 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine with 306 HP (225 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque
  • A 4.4-liter TwinPower Turbo V8 with 450 PS (330 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque
  • A 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder diesel with 258 PS (190 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque
  • A tri-turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder diesel engine with 381 PS (280 kW) and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque
