BMW X5 Concept eDrive spotted in Paris

The BMW X5 Concept eDrive has been photographed cruising the streets of Paris, France.

The guys at BMW Motor Show Blog and BMW X5 Facebook Page got the chance to experience the conceptual vehicle in the capital of France. It features a special camouflage and differs from the standard X5 by its additional opening on the front left fender, aerodynamic roof rails and bespoke 21-inch alloy wheels. It also has a modified front bumper.

Power is provided by a hybrid system that consists of a 245 HP (180 kW) TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder petrol engine, a 95 HP (70 kW) electric motor and a lithium-ion battery. The combined output is rated at 272 HP (200 kW), which is enough for a 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint in less than 7.0 seconds.

Production of the X5 plug-in hybrid is expected to start in 2015 at the company’s Spartanburg plant. PHOTOS
