A G-Power tuned BMW M550d has set a new speed record to claim the title as the world's fastest diesel-powered BMW station wagon.
During testing the model was able to hit a top speed of 271.4 km/h (168.6 mph). In order to achieve this, the wagon's tri-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine was equipped with a D-Tronik 5 V1 performance module which enabled it to produce 435 PS (320 kW) and 850 Nm (626 lb-ft) of torque - an increase of 54 PS (39 kW) and 110 Nm (81 lb-ft).
G-Power says this allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds before hitting a theoretical top speed of up to 300 km/h (186 mph). PHOTOS
