A recent study confirms that black’s reign as the most popular color
for new cars in the United States has been overthrown by white.
In 2011, about 20 percent of new cars purchased in the
U.S. were ordered in white, a color that has long been billed as
complicated to keep clean. Some industry insiders believe that the
color’s recent comeback is the direct result of Apple promoting white
iPods, iPads and iMac computers.
BMW M5 police car unveiled in Munich
BMW has unveiled an M5 police car at the Welt Museum in Munich, Germany.
Dressed in traditional livery, the model has a black grille and a
light bar. Thankfully, for German speeders, the car is just a concept
so there's no need to worry... just yet.

Entry-level BMW X3 sDrive18d announced
BMW has launched a new entry-level variant of the X3 that in Germany costs from 36,200 euros. It’s the X3 sDrive18d that comes with a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter diesel engine with BMW’s TwinPowerTurbo technology that pumps out 143 hp (105 kW / 145 PS) and a peak torque of 266 lb-ft (360 Nm) available between 1,750 rpm and 2,500 rpm.

BMW M squeezes V12 engine in a Z3 prototype
The M division has revealed the other day on Facebook a prototype of a Z3 powered by a V12 engine.
Yesterday in a post on Facebook, BMW's M division shared some juicy photos of a one-off BMW Z3 prototype fitted with a massive V12 engine under the hood. This is just one of the many special cars that the M division has made in the past, such as the M8, E34 M5 Convertible, V16 7-Series Goldfish or the M3 Pickup.
Alpina B3 BiTurbo (F30) speculatively rendered
Semi-auto manufacturer, Alpina, is readying their B3 BiTurbo for debut early next year, but impatient digital artists have quite predictably rendered what the model will most likely look like.
Perhaps no stretch of the imagination, the B3 BiTurbo will feature the usual Alpina characteristics such as: 20 spoke silver alloy wheels, "Alpina Blue" exterior paint, white leather interior and Alpina side body pinstripes.

BMW-Toyota sports car could be a Supra successor
BMW and Toyota recently announced plans to jointly-develop a sports car and new details are starting to emerge about the mysterious model.
According to a BMW spokesperson, the car won't be based on the Toyota 86, Subaru BRZ or Scion FR-S. She added, it "will be a sustainable sports car with environmentally friendly technology" and "we are developing the architecture and components for this future car."
