BMW's North American President has already confirmed the 2014 M3 will feature an inline-six cylinder engine, but new details are starting to emerge about the upcoming powerplant.
According to BimmerToday's sources, the model will have a 3.2-liter engine that is heavily influenced by the current 4.0-liter V8. It could be turbocharged and have an output of approximately 450 PS (331 kW / 444 hp). There's also word of a performance package which could boost the engine's output to 480 PS (353 kW / 473 hp) and enable the car to hit a top speed of 300km/h (186 mph). PHOTOS
