BMW has denied rumors about an M1 successor, but a new report is indicating the brand is planning a revival for 2016.
Auto Bild says the supercar will feature a lightweight body that is constructed from aluminum, magnesium, titanium and plastic. This could enable the model to tip the scales at just 1250 kg (2,756 lbs).
Power would be provided by a turbocharged V8 engine with 600 PS (441 KW / 592 hp) to 650 PS (478 kW / 641 hp). This would reportedly enable the model to hit a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph). Despite the impressive performance, the M1 successor would be relatively economical thanks to an engine start / stop system and brake energy regeneration.
We're obviously taking everything with a grain of salt, but the M1 successor will reportedly be priced at €250,000 ($316,925 / £201,310). PHOTOS
