A tasteful alternative to the standard model
BMW has released the first pictures of the2015 X6 equipped with the M Sport package.
Designed to appeal to customers who prefer a little less bling, the M Sport variant has an aerodynamic body kit that includes a new front bumper, revised side skirts and a rear diffuser insert. Other highlights include a matte aluminum grille, chrome exhaust tips and body color wheel arches. The crossover also has shadow line trim, an Adaptive M suspension and 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels.
The sporty styling continues in the cabin as the model has leather / Alcantara sport seats, a sport steering wheel and aluminum hexagon trim. The package also adds an anthracite roof liner, an alloy footrest and M-branded door sill plates.
As we reported yesterday, the 2015 X6 will go on sale in Europe in December and be launched with three different engines including:
- A 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder diesel with 258 PS (190 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque
- A tri-turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder diesel engine with 381 PS (280 kW) and 740 Nm (545 lb-ft) of torque
- A 4.4-liter TwinPower Turbo V8 engine with 450 PS (330 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque
In the United States, the model will arrive in "late 2014" and be offered with the aforementioned V8 as well a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder petrol engine that develops 300 bhp (223 kW) and 300 lb-ft (406 Nm) of torque.
