8-Series reborn ?
BMW has joined forces with Pininfarina for the Gran Lusso Coupe concept which will be showcased on May 24 at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este.
Most likely previewing the rebirth of the 8-Series, BMW's latest concept makes use of a front-mounted V12 engine of undisclosed output. Chances are it's the twin-turbo 6.0-liter powering the 7-Series, an engine delivering 544 bhp (405 kW) and 550 lb-ft (745 Nm) of torque.
In terms of styling, the sleek coupe has a long hood, short front/rear overhangs and what appears to be a long wheelbase. No photos of the interior have been released but BMW says it provides a "blend of contemporary elegance and luxury."
