The Range Rover Evoque showed the industry how to build a sporty three-door crossover, but no one has taken up the challenge to create a rival.
That ends today as Theophilus Chin has made a rendering of what a possible BMW X4 Coupe could look like. Based on theBMW X4 concept, the coupe adopts a revised front fascia and a sleek three-door design that complaints the sporty roofline.
According to Chin, "BMW should really consider building this. The 5-door [variant] is too similar in design and size with the X6."
As we have previously reported, the BMW X4 concept previews the production crossover that will be built in Spartanburg, South Carolina as early as next year. The model will be based on the X3 and is expected to feature a variety of engines including the TwinPower Turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 240 bhp (179 kW) and 260 lb-ft (352 Nm) of torque as well as the TwinPower Turbo 3.0-liter inline-six with 300 bhp (224 kW) and 300 lb-ft (406 Nm) of torque.
